November 19, 2024 took our Raiders Road Trip Series somewhere new — Miami. This time, my son and I headed to Hard Rock Stadium to watch the Raiders take on the Dolphins, adding another stadium and another shared memory to the list.

Every trip feels different, and this one had its own vibe from the moment we arrived.

After trips to places like Buffalo and Baltimore, Miami felt like a completely different NFL experience.

• Palm trees instead of parking lot tailgates

• A stadium that feels more like a destination

For my son, it was a reminder that every NFL city has its own personality — and that’s part of what makes these trips so memorable.

Hard Rock Stadium has a unique look and feel. Bright colors, open sightlines, and a crowd that brings energy in its own way.

Walking through the stadium:

• Dolphins colors everywhere

• Music and noise echoing through the concourses

• A noticeably different atmosphere from the colder, older stadiums we’ve visited

It was another reminder of how different each stop on this journey can be.

Being a Raiders fan on the road always means being outnumbered — and that’s part of the fun.

Sitting together:

• Cheering every Raiders drive

• Reacting to the momentum swings

• Taking it all in as another new stadium checked off the list

No matter the location, watching the Raiders together never gets old.

By this point, these games had become more than just football. They’re a chance to step away from daily routines and focus on time together.
