SEPTEMBER 17, 2023 | HIGHMARK STADIUM | ORCHARD PARK, NEW YORK

Our first Raiders road trip to Buffalo turned into one of those games where the final score wasn't even close to the best part of the day.

We made the trip to Buffalo for the Raiders' Week 2 matchup with the Bills, and our seats put us right down near the field. Before the game even started, Colin was already getting the kind of access that can make a road game memorable — and it was about to get a whole lot better.

GETTING CLOSE TO THE RAIDERS

Our seats were right near the Raiders sideline, which gave Colin a chance to hang out by the railing before the game and watch the players warm up from just a few feet away. With his Garoppolo jersey on, he was doing everything he could to get the players' attention.

A MOMENT WITH DAVANTE ADAMS

Colin's persistence paid off when Davante Adams came over to the railing. Adams signed the back of Colin's Garoppolo jersey and then stopped long enough to take a selfie with him.
Getting an autograph would have been incredible enough. Getting the selfie too made it one of those moments Colin wasn't going to forget.

MAKING FRIENDS IN BUFFALO

Sitting near us was a Bills fan who was determined to get Jimmy Garoppolo's attention. Her sign said, “JIMMY, JOSH ALLEN WAVED AT ME, ONE UP HIM,” which was pretty hard to miss.
We ended up talking with her and taking some photos together. What started as a funny interaction with a Bills fan got even better when the Raiders shared the moment on their social media.

THE GAME GETS AWAY FROM THE RAIDERS

The Raiders actually started the day exactly how we hoped, scoring a touchdown on their opening drive. Unfortunately, that didn't last long.
Buffalo took control from there and never really gave it back. The Bills pulled away for a 38–10 win, dropping the Raiders to 1–1 on the season.
It wasn't much of a game to celebrate, but between Davante Adams, the signed jersey and everything that happened before kickoff, we still left Buffalo with plenty to remember.

MORE THAN THE FINAL SCORE

A 38–10 loss normally wouldn't be a game we'd be in a hurry to remember, but Buffalo was different. Colin got his Garoppolo jersey signed by Davante Adams, took a selfie with him, met some great people in the stands and even ended up appearing on the Raiders' social media.
The scoreboard definitely wasn't coming home with us, but the memories were.

GAME-DAY KEEPSAKES

We try to bring home something from every Raiders game we attend. From Buffalo, Colin came home with the official game-day pin and something much harder to top — his Garoppolo jersey signed by Davante Adams.
